About the people behind Cedar Springs Retreats

For over 20 years, our community has dreamed of creating a retreat center - a vision that has now become a reality through dedication, intention, persistence, and hard work.

Here are the key individuals who have played a pivotal role in bringing this dream to life.

Ken Martini - Project Development

Ken Martini is a multi-skilled technician and entrepreneur with a passion for creating and curating spaces that foster joy and personal growth.

For many years, Ken has brought his expertise as an event space designer and DJ to the Northern California Dance Collective’s Summer Dance Camp, helping to shape unforgettable experiences for the community.

In one of his careers as a filmmaker Ken produced a documentary on Ecstatic / Conscious Dance:
Leave Your Shoes at the Door

Christina Tuccillo - Program Director

Christina has over 30 years of experience envisioning, creating, and running events that nurture body and soul through dance, music, nature, and community. She is the co-founder and a primary leader of the Northern California Dance Collective, which hosts a 220-person, nine-day summer dance camp and a three-day, 150-person winter dance camp each year.

She is also the co-founder and primary manager of Camp Fareta, a week-long West African dance and drum camp with up to 200 participants. These kinds of events are her passion, and she is inspired by the idea of making them happen more frequently and on a larger scale. Christina also has a "day job" working for an executive search firm that focuses on placing women and minorities in high-level positions in non-profit organizations.

Thom Pacic, Corvallis - Camp Manager

Thom has over 10 years as an Oregon licensed residential building contractor with a specialization in residential remodeling. He has skills in many areas, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and automechanical repair and maintenance.

For more than five years, he has been an organizer for NCDC's Summer Dance Camp, including three years in a head manager role. He worked with the Fresno County Health Department to compile a comprehensive camp manual, outlining camp procedures, including emergency procedures, and was the camp facilities coordinator and liaison with the live-in camp manager. Now he is the live-in camp manager for Cedar Springs!

Denise Wilde - Chef & Catering

Before becoming a professional chef, Denise studied and taught holistic healing arts and nutrition and was an organic farmer for a time, learning firsthand about farm to table cuisine. While travelling internationally, she sought out local cooks and chefs to learn some of their unique and special dishes.

Her intention is to prepare not only scrumptuous fare, but equally important, to truly nourish those she has the opportunity to cook for. At Cedar Springs she will create a deliciously diverse menu for you and your guests, choosing from fresh, organic California cuisine and as well as a variety of dishes from around the world.

Bachi Brunato – Construction Manager

Bachi has dedicated his life to creating spaces that exist in harmony with nature. With over 45 years of hands-on experience, he blends skill and heart to craft energy-efficient, sustainable designs that honor the land.

More than just a builder, he draws inspiration from wild landscapes and the natural rhythms of the earth. He believes that true spaces are not merely structures - they are places of connection, fostering a deep relationship between people, nature, and the feeling of home.

His vision is to create environments that nurture both the planet and the human spirit, ensuring that every space he touches is not just built, but deeply rooted in purpose and harmony.

Scott Young -  Technical Support

Scott is a versatile professional with a passion for learning and mastering new skills. A graduate of MIT, he brings over 40 years of experience in the electronics industry, with much of his career focused on designing advanced microscopes.

Now, Scott channels his creativity into dancing, DJing, and organizing vibrant community dance events in Santa Cruz. Committed to making things happen, he is eager to do whatever it takes to get Cedar Springs up and running.
